PHOTOGRAPHER IN RESIDENCE, MARCH 2025

Jean Marques is a Cuban-American visual artist and photographer based in Staten Island. Their artistic practice threads together techniques of collage, writing, and sequencing to create images that speak to their experience and personal history. In 2019 they graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with an MFA degree in Photography and Related Media, were they also taught intro to Black and White darkroom photography classes. Jean’s work has been exhibited in Photoville Festival NYC 2023, and in Art galleries in Miami, Brooklyn, Rochester, Portland, and Macau, China. Their work has also been featured online at Lenscratch and Too Tired Project.
