FABRICATION BUDGET & STIPENDS

$45,000 to be used at the discretion of the WARP artist to fabricate the artwork approved in their proposal

Artists are encouraged to spend the entire budget as remaining budget is not recouped as a stipend

WORTHLESSSTUDIOS retains a right for reimbursement for all dollars spent towards fabrication should the artwork sell (reimbursement costs would never exceed artwork sale value).

ARTIST STIPEND

$5,000 will be awarded to WARP artists over the course of the residency to compensate them for their time involved in the program

WORTHLESSSTUDIOS is proud to exceed the W.A.G.E. recommended guidelines

These are unrestricted funds to be used at the artist’s discretion

UAP will provide access to a full production team for the duration of the residency which includes but is not limited to a dedicated project manager, fabrication specialists, digital designers and curators.

WORTHLESSSTUDIOS will provide up to 150 hours of studio assistance for the more physically demanding and hands-on work required to complete the artwork.

Once an artwork is completed, full ownership transfers to the artist. With this ownership comes the responsibility to arrange and cover all costs for transportation and storage beyond the residency period.

The artist must communicate the plans for moving the work within 120 days of its completion. If no clear plan is provided within this timeframe, or if WORTHLESSSTUDIOS incurs any storage-related fees due to a lack of coordination, the artist will be required to reimburse WORTHLESSSTUDIOS for those costs. We encourage the artist to proactively plan for the relocation of their work to avoid any complications.
