TEACHING PHOTOGRAPHER - SOCRATEENS

Rosemary Haynes is an artist working in analog photography and darkroom methods to explore between the technical and the emotive. Formally trained as a gelatin silver printer and co-founder of Rubylith Darkroom, Haynes is passionate about accessibility and shared autonomy of darkrooms. In her personal work, Haynes utilizes the camera and the darkroom as a means to explore care and understanding for loved ones, in a way that is both collaborative and reflexive on itself. Her work has been exhibited at Justine Kurland Studio, Silver Eye Center for Photography, Soft Serve Projects, and Arcanite Pictures. She was recently included in Cultured Magazine’s Young Photographer’s List 2024 and is based in Brooklyn, New York.
